I'm not trying to ask you to support me. But I'm going to tell you what happened yesterday.
My brother is currently working very hard to get his driving license. I am admiring his strength and effort at the same time feeling proud for being his big sister. He has such a determination that I should take as an example. Everyday he goes to work, I'll pray that he'll be more successful than me.
Currently, he is taking commuter to work. He works late, he'll reach home in the evening. I just hope that his dream of driving to work is going to be possible - working that hard and travelling via public transport are two different tiring activities in one day.
When he reached home yesterday, I pitied him. The commuter was delayed to give way to the interstate train. As we all know, this week will be the final between Kelantan and Negeri Sembilan so Kelantanese football fans are coming over by train to support their team.
When the train passed the Seremban and Nilai train platforms yesterday, the people at the platform were thrown with objects like mineral water bottles and some other rubbish. One of those people was my brother. The people who threw those rubbish were waving Kelantan flags.
Yes, he has his own temper. But, he was too tired from work.
I mean, excitement is one thing.
But does your excitement needs to effect others?
For the first time of my life, I'm not going to the stadium tonight. My brother has to work. But I hope whatever the result is going to be, please respect others.
To all Negeri Sembilan fans out there,
Please use your brain when you want to do anything. Anything at all - whether you're losing or winning. When the Kelantanese fans are passing our state to go home to Kelantan by using any modes of transportation at all, help them. If they are lost in the stadium, help them too. Some of them rarely come here, so if you know the way, help them.
Don't throw rubbish to others, okay!
On Monday, when you're coming to work and see your Kelantanese friends, remember one thing: be professional at all times. Even if they love to be with their own colleagues, it doesn't mean that you have to mean to others.
To all Negeri Sembilan ladies who are fortunate enough to marry a Kelantanese man, make sure you do your duty as a wife tonight regardless what the outcome will be.
I'm not trying to be sarcastic. If you're hurt with my statement, I'm sorry. That was how hurt I was to see my brother's face yesterday.
It's raining and I'm going to eat hot pisang goreng. Later tonight, I'll eat kerepek pisang while watching the game. Too bad my Kelantanese neighbouras are not around. Since they moved back to Kelantan, I can't exchange their sira pisang with my own gulai pisang muda.
I'm missing that kind and loving gesture.
