The transition between Muqaddam and Al-Quran was one of the occasions when I had pulut kuning. Ibu prepared pulut kuning and sent it to the place I learned to recite Al-Quran. I remember that day. That was the first time I have been the celebrated one:)
I asked ayah about pulut kuning and celebration. Ayah said, pulut kuning shows celebration in most Malay culture, not just in Negeri Sembilan. I have to agree with that. I think I've seen Siti Nurhaliza cut a pulut kuning cake on her wedding. Mawi did the same thing.
Regardless, I might be concerned about the northerners. My last posting about Udang Panjat created different reactions. Pocket said Udang Panjat might be popular among the southerners because there was no Udang Panjat in the pictures he has taken in weddings:)
Even Sepet had once said this to me,
"Ni sibuk pulut-pulut apasal? Kampung I pulut tuh makan breakfast je, yang."
Is it true? To fellow friends from north, can you confirm that with me?
I remember eating pulut for breakfast in Kedah. Co-incidentally our family have chosen the northerners to become our additional family members. But I didn't ask whether pulut is just a breakfast for them. If I ask Sepet about that today he'll say, "Taulah u cannot get over me..."
The flirting and fight between me and my ex will never stop, okay.
Calling my former roommate, Azwa, just to ask about pulut on Sunday would just going to interrupt her in school. I totally forgot that their week starts on Sunday:P
Though I must say that the pulut kuning in my blog today is not for wedding. It's for football:)
Congratulations to Negeri Sembilan Football Association for all your hard work yesterday. I've never been happier ever since the first time ayah brought me to the stadium to watch Robert Bozic played until yesterday. You have given me the best present ever.
That is reason enough to have a pulut kuning in Orkid's Cafe.
Except that there's no announcement about tomorrow.
Holiday or not?
