You Are My Sunshine
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skies are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away
I had never sang this song properly before. Sad to say, I knew difficult lyrics for other songs but I couldn't remember this one. The simplest, the one sang by small children, and the one taught by my mum!
Maybe, I'm just not cute enough for this song. Hehehe. I don't know, folks. Everytime I hear this song, it keeps reminding me towards the smiley sun - like the one in the picture. It will remind me of a small fair girl with red cheeks who blushes each time she sings you're my sunshine. The girl wears pink with frilly stockings...awwwww!!! That's definitely not me. Not even when I was small.
Guess that I'm not cute enough though. My ibu made me wore denim overall when I was small;)
Yeah...after that I would play with tadpoles and put them in bottles.
Cute small girls dream about frog prince.I, on the other hand, nurtured the tadpole - hoping it will become a prince so that I can kiss it!
So, when someone said this just now, I was stunned:
"Aku nampak matahari bila Sha ada kat sini. Dialah matahari aku!"
I looked intently towards the person. Was it supposed to be a compliment or what?
I don't know. This is because...
I don't feel that cute. Sun? Sunshine? Aiyoo. Why am I imagining myself in big frilly gown from KenKen? Hohoho. And the red stains on my cheeks are like the ones on Ronald McDonald's:P
But then again, I can't deny that I was flattered like hell. Matahari. Wooowww...I'm taking it as a compliment even though the person did not mean it. Suka!
But I prefer to be this matahari though...
"dengarlah matahariku suara tangisanku
ku bersedih karna panah cinta menusuk jantungku
ucapkan matahariku puisi tentang hidupku
tentangku yang tak mampu melakukan waktu"
Someone who is reliable enough. Trustworthy enough. Just like how Agnes Monica sang it.
Will you be someone's sunshine? Even though you're burning hot?
